Air-to-Air Refueling

Current Affair 1:
News:
Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) have formalized an air-to-air refueling arrangement to boost the operational capabilities of their air forces.
Air to Air Refuelling:
In-flight refuelling is a technique that allows fuel to be transferred from one aircraft, called a tanker, to another while both are mid-air. This allows the receiving aircraft to stay airborne longer and take off with a greater payload.
Benefits of Air-to-Air Refuelling
- Extended Range: AAR increases the operational range of military aircraft, allowing them to reach distant targets or stay airborne for extended periods.
- Increased Endurance: Aircraft can perform longer missions without requiring land for refuelling.
- Strategic Flexibility: Enables rapid deployment and sustained operations in remote or hostile regions.
