Kaziranga National Park Recognized for Butterfly Diversity

In the recent conservation meet of Kaziranga National Park, the officials presented the guidebook with a list of 446 butterfly species recorded in the park.

With this count, Kaziranga national park is now the second largest habitat of butterfly species concentration in the country, only second to the Namdapha National Park.

This reporting of 446 butterfly species is based on the studies conducted on butterflies since 2007 in Kaziranga National Park and different parts of Karbi Anglong forest region.
